Here are the slightly (very slightly) shorter versions of Sessions 5 and 6. This is another way to have a great review.

This week will be the last that I will keep checking the first five weeks of lessons to see if work has been completed. As you complete the assignments for Session 6, make sure all the assignments for Sessions 1-5 are complete also. Remember that some of the assignments are embedded in Streams so you have to watch them to get to the assignment.
This has definitely been one of those days. Fortunately things have worked out that this platform can show the video for this week. Please remember to click on the FORM in your assignment to do this week's quiz. I will still attempt to put and post this as a series of STREAMS. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. The video to the song "Strong Weak" is missing after I go over the lyrics to the piece. From Flocabulary: "We’re inviting students in grades K-12 to research an event, person, or tradition tied to Latinx culture, and write a rap about it. Two grand prize winners will get their lyrics turned into a Flocab song in collaboration with our talented artists. " Here is the Nearpod lesson link mentioned in the video. You have until October 15th to have an adult submit your work. Your rap could be made into a video for all around the world to experience! Follow the directions given in the video for your chance to learn more about Hispanic Heritage and what to do when writing your rap. September 2020 has been a whirlwind of a month...especially in the Virtual Academy. There are some that have diligently done or are trying to do the work for music. There are some that have not. Others have been working through technical difficulties, and we understand that we are all in this together.
I appreciate the effort that is being put in to make sure learning (and hopefully mastery) is happening across the board. I have included September's MIS VA Music Session Streams in this post. You may have to have Microsoft Teams via the Web to be able to view them. Music Week One Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Music Week Two Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Music Week Three Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 |
